These official rules (“Official Rules”) govern individual trivia games being offered in the MSG GO app under the “Trivia” tab (each, a “Trivia Game”), sponsored by MSGN Holdings, L.P. (“Sponsor”).
ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, 18 or older, who subscribe to a participating television provider with MSG and/or MSG Plus. Employees of MSGN Holdings, L.P. (“Sponsor”), MSG Networks, Inc., New York Rangers, LLC (“Rangers”), New York Knicks, LLC (“Knicks”), the National Hockey League and its member teams, NHL Enterprises, LP. (collectively, “NHL Entities”), the National Basketball Association and its member teams, NBA Properties, Inc. (collectively, “NBA Entities”), and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agents and promotional partners, and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse or sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of such individuals are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Trivia Game. Trivia Game is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
TRIVIA GAME PERIOD: The Trivia Game will be available for play during select re-aired Knicks and Rangers games originally aired during current or previous seasons for each team, respectively, and that are now available to stream as indicated on the MSG GO application (each, a “Re-aired Game”) beginning on March, 30, 2020 and ending on the earlier of June 30, 2020 or the date of the NHL and/or NBA resumes playing 2019-2020 season games.
TO ENTER: Once you have logged into your account in the MSG GO app, tap on the “Trivia” tab and follow the directions to play the current Trivia Game. There will be three (3) to five (5) questions per Re-aired Game. If you are one of the players to answer the most questions correctly, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, you will be entered into the drawing for that Re-aired Game. You can only answer any question and play any Trivia Game once during any Re-aired Game. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor.
DRAWING: One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing following the end of each Re-aired Game from all eligible entries received for that Trivia Game. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that Trivia Game. Nonwinning entries from one (1) Trivia Game will not be included in any other Trivia Game’s drawing. Sponsor’s decision with respect to winner determination is final and binding. Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or e-mail with instructions on how to claim the prize and must respond to the initial notification within the time period stated in that notification. If potential winner does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated, the prize or prize notification is returned as undelivered, the potential winner cannot be contacted, or is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winner may be disqualified and forfeits the prize. In the event that the potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may award the prize to an alternate potential winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries received.
PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”): T-Shirt. ARV: $15.00. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, user name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information, for advertising, trade and promotional purposes, in any manner, in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation or notification to, or permission from, winner.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, each entrant agrees (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor and Trivia Game administrators selected by Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects; and (b) that Sponsor, MSG Networks, Inc., the Knicks, the Rangers, the NHL Entitles, the NBA Entitles, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agents and promotional partners, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this Trivia Game. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries or email; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Trivia Game, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Trivia Game, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or in any Trivia Game-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Trivia Game. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating in this Trivia Game or downloading materials from or use of the website or the MSG Networks application. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Trivia Game, MSG Networks application or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules or who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the Trivia Game be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Trivia Game and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the winner for the Game at issue from all eligible, non-suspect entries received for the Re-aired Game prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. Information submitted in connection with this Trivia Game will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at http://corporate.msgnetworks.com/privacy/.
WINNER’S NAME: For the name of the winner (available after the specified end date), send an email to: msggo@msgnetworks.com, with the subject line “Trivia Game Winner”, for receipt no later than thirty (30) days thereafter. Be sure to indicate the date of the Trivia Game for which you are requesting the name of the winner.
