Knicks Wrap Up Summer League With Win vs. Pelicans

By: Lucky Ngamwajasat

Despite being without Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina, the Knicks ended their 2018 NBA Summer League campaign on a high note, as they crushed the Pelicans, 102-83, Friday.

Mitchell Robinson, who played all five games in Las Vegas, continued to be a menace both offensively and defensively. The center finished off this dish from Daymean Dotson uncontested at the rim in the second quarter.

The duo combined for another Robinson dunk later on.

We’ll be seeing a lot of the 2018 second-round pick finishing off alley-oops in the near future.

The center finished off his Summer League stint with a final line of 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.

The Knicks’ second-round selection in 2017, Dotson closed out Summer League with a terrific performance, scoring 15 points while grabbing 6 boards and dishing out 5 assists. With Knox out, Dotson took on more of a scoring responsibility and responded by hitting 6-of-8 from the field, including this 3-ball.

UNSUNG HERO: Daniel Ochefu came off the bench during Summer League, but the 24-year-old big man had flashes of brilliance throughout. Ochefu led the Knicks with a team-high 22 points and 8 rebounds.
