Ntilikina Finds His Footing vs. Jazz

By: Lucky Ngamwajasat

Frank Ntilikina, Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson gave Knicks fans a tantalizing peek into the future Sunday.

Despite a 90-85 loss to the Jazz, the Knicks Summer League trio all put in solid outings in the team’s second contest in Las Vegas.

Ntilikina showed an especially aggressive streak early on against the Jazz and took it straight to the rack for the Knicks’ first basket of the night.

It wasn’t just scoring for the Knicks point guard. The 2017 first-round selection was also adept at finding the open man, finding Robinson for the easy jam after the dribble penetration.

A new addition to Ntilikina’s offensive arsenal: the turnaround jumper via a post up. Ntilikina tallied 17 points and dished out 6 assists.

Our Alan Hahn noticed a change in attitude from the “French Prince” in the second game of Summer League.

This year’s rookie class also came to play, with Knox and Robinson combining for the acrobatic layup by the center.

What would a Summer League game be without a nightly monster dunk from Knox? Knox led the Knicks with 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

Or a huge block from Robinson? Robinson shot 6-of-8 from the field with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks

STAT OF THE NIGHT: Another strong outing from Troy Williams off the bench, as the swingman scored 8 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had a plus-6 rating in just 18 minutes.

UP NEXT: After a day off, New York is back in action Tuesday night against the Lakers at 8:30 PM for its third Summer League game.
