Tonight the Rangers and Devils will faceoff for the second time this season, as both clubs conclude back-to-back sets following Saturday tilts. The Blueshirts will try and make it three in a row after edging the Nashville Predators 2-1 in a shootout, while the Devils fell to the Ottawa Senators by a score of 3-1
NASH BACK-TO-BACK
Rick Nash opened the scoring in Nashville Saturday, giving No. 61 goals in back-to-back games since returning from a groin injury. Nash is tied for the team lead in goals this season with 13, and he’s tallied a point in seven of his last 10 games played, scoring six goals and three assists for nine points during that stretch.
CAMMALLERI BACK ON THE BOARD
Michael Cammalleri notched the 600th point of his NHL career, assisting on John Moore’s first-period goal in Ottawa Saturday. The assist snapped a five-game scoreless-streak for Cammalleri, who needs two points for 100 with New Jersey.
HAYES HOT
Kevin Hayes picked up an assist yesterday, giving him three assists over the past four games. Six Rangers have at least 20 points this season, and Hayes leads the Rangers in scoring with 23 points, notching 11 goals and 12 assists in 33 games.
MOORE ON THE ROAD
John Moore scored the Devils’ lone goal Saturday, giving the Chicago native a career-high five goals this season. Moore, who spent three seasons with the Rangers from 2013-2015, has been strong on the road this season, scoring two goals with five assists for seven points in 19 games.
