On Tuesday, the Rangers acquired Long Island native and 2019 Hobey Baker Award finalist Adam Fox from the Carolina Hurricanes for their 2019 second-round pick and a conditional 2020 third-round pick.

The 21-year-old defenseman from Jericho recorded 9 goals and 39 assists for 48 points during an impressive season for the Harvard Crimson, averaging 1.45 points per game this season. He also reached 100 career points and is the first junior defenseman to reach that milestone since Justin Schultz did it during the 2011-12 campaign.
